We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Architect

Location: Lagos

Core Job Functions / Responsibility

• The senior architects have the opportunity to take that vision and create interesting livable spaces.
• The team works closely together to ensure projects run smoothly and clients' needs are met.

Primary Activities

• To ensure that raw and packaging materials are of the right standard
• Supervising the construction work and making sure the building is built according to the plans.
• Consulting with other professionals about design
• Build concept plans, designs and design solutions
• Develop overall design architectural strategy
• Preparing and presenting feasibility reports and design proposals to the client
• Attending site meetings, both with Consultants and Main Contactors
• Advising the client on the practicality of their project
• Using it in design and project management, specifically using computer-aided design software
• Keeping within financial budgets and deadlines
• have strong visual awareness and an eye for detail
• have good drawing skills, with the ability to work in three dimensions (3D)
• be inventive and imaginative
• be passionate about buildings and the built environment
• Produce detailed workings, drawings and specifications
• Producing detailed workings, drawings and specifications
• Specifying the nature and quality of materials required
• Preparing tender applications and presentations
• Negotiating with contractors and other professionals
• Preparing applications for planning and building control departments
• Drawing up tender documents for contracts
• Project managing and helping to coordinate the work of contractors
• Controlling a project from start to finish
• Regular site visits to check on progress, ensuring that the project is running on time and to budget
• Resolving problems and issues that arise during construction
• Ensuring that the environmental impact of the project is managed.

Job Requirements and Skills

• Graduate Qualifications: A B.Sc /HND in Architecture with solid technical abilities and understanding of theoretical frameworks is required.
• Post Graduate Qualifications: Master's degree would be of advantage.
• Experience: 7-10 years' experience in Architectural designing essential.
• Certifications and Training Requirements: Relevant Training and Certification would be of advantage.
